Everything Points to a Win

1. We are 10-1 when we have a Sr. QB.

2. We are 13-1 (I think, not sure on the numbers) when we are ranked and Utah is not.

3. Utah is working on a second string QB, who, in 9 starts, hasn't thrown for 200 yds

4. Their RB is not 100%

5. Their OLine is a disaster

6. Our D is better than I have seen in a long time

7. A friend today at pack meeting, told me his co-workers son plays for the Utah. This co-worker said that the team is a mess

8. The team has to be humiliated, mad and hungry after last years debacle



Okay, I threw 7 in their for good measure.



I still can't get the sick feeling out of my gut.

This is BYU's game to win as long as we don't get in our own way, or shoot ourselves in the foot, like the last two years. That's the question.

Everything does point to a win. But so did everything in 2009, and 2007 and 2006 and even last year - to a certain extent. I thought 2001 was a sure win as well.



But there is the "what-freak-play/lucky-bounce-will-happen" factor that seems to go in Utah's favor more often than not. I'm cautiously optimistic about tomorrow, but I can't be sure - and that bothers me.

I actually feel better this year knowing that I'm not sure of a win, because when I do, the team usually loses. There's less talk from the team this year and more action. I don't think they're overconfident, cocky, or underprepared as they have been in previous years, and that makes me excited. Does it guarantee a win? No, but all signs point to yes, which is a great starting point.
