BYU - New Mexico Game thread

New Mexico wins the coin toss and elects to receive.

Man, this has been a terrible defensive stand for the Cougars. New Mexico has moved at ease down the field converting numerous 3rd downs.

Sheesh, how can we not get a stop on a third and long, not once, but multiple times, and allow UNM to score on their first drive down. We need to take control of this thing before it gets out of hand (which I suspect we will).

Seriously, how do we make EVERYONE we play look like world-beaters??? EVERY WEEK!

Greg Wrubell just announced that the New Mexico is having as big of turf problems as we are. That explains our rough start, I think.

So BYU starts their first offensive drive and ends in a punt.

The Cougar defense stiffened up a bit this time, holding the Lobos, now BYU takes over from their 28 yard line. Again Chambers takes a punt in traffic...

The Cougars definitely looked better their 2nd time on offense with great catches by OC and Tonga. Harvey had a great run or two too.

Terrance Hooks is down, looks like he is pretty seriously hurt with a leg injury of some sort.

For anyone not seeing this, it's quite amazing to see all the players coming up and hugging, congratulating Hooks. Even getting a hug from Paul Tidwell. Looks like his football playing days are over.

Is it just me or is keenan Mccardell the worst sideline reporter you have ever seen..

Our O-line is playing like shiz! Let a guy straight up the middle for a sack and then don't engage your guy so he gets a pick, C'MON!!

This game is just getting so frustrating to watch... :sulk:

Now Reynolds is down. Hopefully his injury isn't serious. The line is seriously struggling today.



At least Payne puts us into the lead. Not a pretty day.

Reynolds came back in on the next offensive series. Word is he has a back sprain.

Is there any way we can get the offense to play defense too? UNM about to end the half down just 3
