Which would you rather have

An inexperienced Oline, or a rookie Ocoordinator that looks lost?



I know what I would pick. I am still worried that utah will come out looking like the NE Patriots next week like they normally do against us but right now I feel that utah will be able to do nothing against our Defense. It is going to be on our O to pull it together, keep utah's defense off balance and move the ball.

Both offenses will struggle. We need Y D to cause a fumble deep in U territory and fall into the end zone after recovering it. Or get us a chip shot field goal. 3-0 would be just fine with me.

I think that BYU can do some things like what usu did to negate the pass rush from utah's dline. usu moved the pocket around, ran options runs to the outside. Let Keeton run read options, lots of different things. We don't need to run the ball right into the teeth of utah's strenght or ask or Oline to block while Riley stands back there like a statue trying to complete passes. My hope is that Doman used the off season to put together a plan that utah hasn't seen yet, kind of like they do do us every year.

This is what I was thinking during the USU game and BYU should try this - but the inexperienced BYU OL would still need to move out and block someone to break anything very far downfield.

I just think everyone is "clenching" over our oline when it won't be a problem as long as we run our offense. utah is going to come out and throw defensive looks at us that we have never seen before, that is a given. I am hoping that Doman throws offensive looks at them (and we execute them) that utah has never seen before.

Exactly. Utah OC is terrible, their offensive line is worse than BYU. Yeah their emotional and play above themselves when they play BYU but this year they're starting a lot further down than usual.

The Yewts also have their psyche badly damaged - they are stunned beyond belief. They lost to their little sister who is not a Pac12 team (see John White's post game comments). Kyle has stated that it doesn't get any easier going against BYU. They aren't swaggering going into this game - edge BYU.

Star seems to play two positions, both on the DL. He's like his own 12th man.
