Someone else posted a video that used the term "Tebow-esque" to describe Riley's play. Here's another, and it (shhhhh...don't say this too loudly) also mentions BYU as maybe a BCS buster later this year, around the 2 minute mark.

I have never gotten the Tebow comparisons - then it hit me. Nelson throws like Tebow.

That comparison seemed pretty obvious to me. Left handed, mobile (though neither is known for their speed), fiery leaders with suspect pure passing skills. If only Riley had Tebow's size we wouldn't worry about him breaking every time he goes toe-to-toe with a linebacker.



p.s. what's with mobile QBs being left handed? These two plus Michael Vick and Steve Young come to mind off the top of my head

I remember Ken Stabler being really mobile, but his stats don't bear that out. Maybe he was just a scrambler who let it fly after eluding defenders. Also his rushing yards/attempt go negative after 1973, when he had a serious knee injury, so I must be really confused.
