crh55While i am very excited about the dominant victory we enjoyed Thursday, i remain very cautious about 2 offensive issues that might be exposed in week 3 and 4.
1) O-line: They were effective, but not dominant enough against a pretty weak D-line. Will we be able to get more than 50 yards rushing against Utah??? If we are going to beat them, we will have to match them physically in the trenches and that is a major concern.
2) Riley's wounded ducks and poor decisions: Riley through a few balls that a good team (a la TCU) would have picked off. Even some of his completions, like the TD to Friel looked a little scary to me. Don't get me wrong i believe in Riley'l leadership and I love that his first words in the post game were about leaving 14 points on the board. But, these issues continue to rear their head and I fear we will relive the TCU game from last year over and over each time we face a legit Defense (baring the Special Teams catastrophe).
I have faith we will end up 3-1 after week 4, but this offense will have to get better.
