Y Harley

I have complained that Local Y fans need more school spirit.



Made some suggestions.



Here is a huge opportunity. Has Hawkwing written all over it - lady Hawk on right behind him - Y tattoos matching it.



Wish I knew how to get my Q Phone to put the pic on here.



Athletic Dept is auctioning a new custom painted Blue and White Y Harley Davidson as a fund raiser. Every Y Fan should have a ride like this.



Hopefully Hawk or someone can google it and pop it on here.

A generous donor has given BYU Athletics a one-of-a-kind custom 2011 Harley-Davidson Sportster to auction to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the general athletics scholarship fund.



The bike can be seen at Timpanogos Harley in Lindon, Utah.



Bidding will close at 5 pm on Friday, Sept. 7. The top-five bidders will be notified Sept. 7, and allowed to submit a final bid by Sept. 10 at 5 pm.



Minimum required bid – $25,000



Additional information about the bike…

- 2011 Road King Classic

- Two road-hard saddle bags

- Langston Paint Job

- 103 cubic-inches

- six-speed transmission

- ABS brakes

- Just 51 miles on the bike

Sweet looking bike, but I don't care for the oval Y logo, I would prefer one with an actual oval.

I agree, it's like an 85% bike, a solid B+ effort, but not quite there for me...

Kind of like how BYU TX and others view the program. Good but not great. Makes this the perfect bike. Good enough to beat who it is supposed to beat - but out classed by elite bikes.



Get some tats and enjoy a sweet ride. Not perfect. Just sweet.

Since it is a motorcycle that has the Y logo on it, it makes me want it. Since it is a Harley davidson, it makes me not want it.

I am a motorcycle rider, but I have a strict "no flames" rule for my bikes.



With that said, you can tell that paint job is VERY well done. Very professional look to it.

If I were a motorcycle rider, I'd have a strict "Flames" rule, but, hey I drive a blue minivan, so I'm probably just projecting or something...

The paint job looks pretty awesome, and I like it a lot, but I think they tried to show the oval y as if it were flapping in the wind but it just didn't turn out right, in my opinion.



If CougarBib were to buy that Harley for me, because of all the hard work I do in running this site, I certainly wouldn't turn it down.

Can't tell if that is royal or navy or if they are trying to do both. Either way I would have preferred no flames and a royal blue color.
