Doman's description of Nelson, the team's unanimous selection for team captain on offense:



"Riley will take food right out of the garbage can and eat it...he just is full of grit."



1. Was he talking about the food at the stadium?

2. Is grit a synonym for something else?

3. Does this make Riley our modern day John Wayne "True Grit"?

I hope he's more the Jeff Bridges "True Grit" he was a mean, snarling, cursing, ass kicker. John Wayne was a softy in comparison.



I just hope it wasn't a bathroom garbage can he's eating food out of, all those germ filled wet paper towels laying on top of the food. I hope its more of a George Costanza bear claw eating out of the garbage can incident.

Maybe I'm missing the point, what's wrong with eating food out of the garbage? No but seriously I've done it, and I wouldn't consider it a "gritty" move. Maybe punching a bear while eating food out of the trash can... Now we're talking!

Maybe Riley eats trash that was soaked with milk, tied in a plastic bag and set in the sun for a week? :sick: THAT would be gritty. Or if he's eating raw tomatoes... just as bad. ;)

This is code talk. It means Riley will take the Utes rite out of their stadium, swallow them, and then deposit them in the locker room toilet before returning to Provo! :munch:

I thought Riley was wooing Robbie Bullough with his famed crock pot meals...



Food aside, it's safe to say Riley is much more gritty than Heaps and Jordyn Winn. And that makes me feel good inside.
