Top 3 story lines going into game week???

With kick off now a week away, what are the 3 biggest question marks and story lines before the opener?



IMO



1) Will the Offense come out sluggish or will a senior QB and a more experienced OC along with the dominant WR core produce out of the gates??? The WSU defense should not be too difficult of a test

- Subplot: Unproven group of running backs



2) Kicking Game??? Will we be worse than last year a la TCU? :sick:



3) Can the defense live up to the hype and stop the air raid.



What are your thoughts???

1) I think they'll still have some rust, but do much better than the 14 (7 offensive) they put up in last year's opener. I'll go with 27. I mean, we did 23 with freshman Heaps splitting time with sophomore Riley against Washington at home, so it can't be worse than that, right?



2) Kicking off from the 35 + an offense that sustains and finishes drives (I'm betting on a mobile QB making things easier) = less chances for the kicking game to matter in a bad way. So, no. (fingers crossed)



3) Yes. Very yes. I think the altitude, the newness of the system to the players in a game time situation, and 65000 screaming fans helps the air raid stop itself. Several 3 and outs in the beginning of the game, with our offense holding the ball for long stretches in between, resulting in an out of sync offense and tired defense.

1.Will the offense start sluggish or live up to its hype--with the largest subplot being the Oline--will they live up to hype, be slimmed down, faster stronger, more stamina. Every other position will deliver.



2. Wlll defense live up to hype -- with the biggest subplot be the secondary living up to "the most athletic" and "best" in Broncos time at BYU? Particularly vs WSU offense! If they do, we walk away with a solid and convincing win.



3. New Jumbo Trons. Will they dazzle and amaze. I think they will.

What are your thoughts???

1) Not sluggish, just rusty and lacking consistency. Our o-line needs a few drives to gel, but our running game will look solid. I'd be surprised to see us break 30pts (I'm guessing 24), but there will be several very solid drives that will show real promise.



2) I don't see any real issues from the kicking game... so better :skeptic:



3) The defense struggles at times, but comes through more often then not. We win the turnover battle and game while holding WSU to 10-14 pts.

Three stories? Sounds like a book. My list:



1)Will the white out be white?



2) Will anyone find the failgate party?



3) Will be find out the 2013 schedule before the end of the year?
