âWeâre returning a lot of players from last year and I think we came into this fall camp more prepared and ready physically than last year... I think everyone is going to see the results the first game.â
âWe just really developed the run game this year to be more effective and versatile in our offense. Weâre going to be able to run more things with different players back there. When you have a run game that is a threat, it puts a lot of pressure in the middle of the defense. When you have receivers on the outside that can run and spread defenses, it helps open up the run game for our running backs and vice versa.â
âThe one thing I think where we are making some improvements is how well weâre able to run a high-tempo offense. I feel like weâre getting more and more used to running at a higher pace, but then we can turn it down when we need to. The one thing that you have to do is really focus more when you run a fast-pace offense, and I think weâre able to do that.â
All of his comments indicate that we have a revamped O that is much better than last year and that can put points on the board. If this is true, and many players have stated the same thing, this season will be special because the D is the anchor and foundation of the team.
