Funny because it is true. North Korea is such a sad country.

During the "Arduous March" of the 90s - when possibly upwards of a million (no one knows for sure) North Koreans starved to death - the North Korea government actually told its citizens that eating three meals a day was unhealthy. They shared "news reports" of people in South Korea who died when their stomachs exploded from eating too much rice.



North Korea was making their citizens try to survive on about 1000 calories of rice. They have an entire generation of stunted youth suffering from malnutrition. The average North Korean is several inches shorter than their southern counterparts because their diet is so bad.



I really feel for the North Korean people. What an awful lot in life they have.
