The Collin Keoshian Highlight Video

For those of you who haven't seen this, much less heard the story, here is the youtube video that led BYU to offer a kid a scholarship who none of them had seen play in person. Based upon his measurables, school choice (a christian private school), and these 4 and a half minutes of highlight footage, Bronco offered him a scholarship. Oh, and his high school plays in an 8-man football league.

Since BYU offered, other D-1 schools have come knocking, including his childhood favorite UCLA, but he is sticking loyal to BYU, saying he gave his whole word and he is a man of his word. The kid is ridiculous good looking (football-speaking), and I can't wait to see what Bronco does with him.

Offense or Defense? What's he going to play?

I can't decide if I'd rather watch him jumping over defenders on his way to the endzone or pounding opposing QBs in the backfield.

Great story.

That reminded me of 8th grade football where we had a kid who hit puberty when he was about 5. We would just hand him the ball and then start walking to the sideline.

Nice highlights, although I am wondering how 2 years ago he had 2 interceptions on the year, but ran 4 of those back for TDs (according to the stats at the end)...?

If he keeps his same attitude I can see him becoming a fan favorite pretty quick. But to be fair, I can see several of the current and future players become very well liked too.

I think Bronco has been recruiting kids that are more athletic and can play either side of the ball so he can fit them in as needed. Having said that, this kid is tailor made for the 3-4 as an LB. Imagine him with Stout as the other MLB, Van Noy on the outside with another guy plaugged in as well. Sounds great. Just hope it is great...

So, what is 8-man football? I mean, besides being football with only 8 players. Is it a high school sport? Club sport?

I wonder what his impact will be given the overall difficulty of adjusting to college ball as well as adjusting to 11 man football. I would imagine he would redshirt his freshman year, and we could see him playing in sub packages as a RS freshman. His sophomore year, he could really contribute. He looks like quite the athlete.

Didn't the Arena League play eight-man? I mean, the field is different and all, but it kind of gives you an idea of how the games go: Three down lineman, QB, RB, 3 receivers (I think?).

Ran it to one end zone, then back to the other. ;) ;) :whistle: :lol:
