Swallowing the whistle in Camp--will it hurt us in games?

Interesting change in this year's camp. They are taking a page from the Houston Texans and not using the whistle as much. Intitial coaches responses are favorable.

Will this hurt BYU during games because players will play after the whistle blows and be flagged for delayed hits?

Not questioning the coaches as much as throwing out a topic for discussion.



It is good to see The coaches being progressive and implementing advances, such as the cold water cool downs after practice.

I think it is a great change, especially with how Bronco admittedly had a tendency to blow the whistle early tomtryo to test his players. Also, with RN as QB, a quick whistle is also a detriment. Better to simulate game action, and let the play run its course, throw a flag if a penalty, because that mirrors a real game better.
