Ie BYU would be underdogs in all 4 games if they were on truly neutral fields - but likely to be very competitive. But some one chose to give up a lot of home field advantage over the years - ND this year for example. So, it will be like spotting an additional 7 points to a team already favored by 3.



Tough hill to climb.

Coaches poll has Boise State ranked 22nd, Notre Dame was ranked 24th Georgia Tech 28th, and Utah 32nd.



BYU a ranking of 36th.

I think our team has a good chance of meeting or exceeding national expectations. That makes for a fun season.

I think these are all very winnable games. Bronco has played Air Force many times so he knows how to prepare his defense for the option. But the fact that they are on the road will make it very difficult for us, but also very good experience for the younger players.

I don't see a game on the schedule that's not winnable either. While, I'm not convinced we're going undefeated, I do think we can.



I think the GT game might be our toughest. We have played AF in the past - and quite successfully - but the athletes at GT are slightly better than the ones at the Academy.

Georgia Tech will be running the option with way more size, speed, and athleticism than AirForce brings. Throw in two time zones worth of jet lag, heat and humidity - possibly, and a much larger and louder crowd, and this ain't AFA.

I think we match up well with an option team like that. I'm not guaranteeing the game, I'm just saying that it is very winnable.

I think BYU will be competitive in every game - barring key injury.

In other words Mars - you are crediting Bronco with hiring an African American that looked promising, working hard to mentor and develop him, recognized when it was not working, and having the courage to make a mid-season change.



Totally agree. Bronco is a very good coach.

Totally agree. Instead of drilling the QB after the pitch, the defenders were hovering waiting to see if the pitch would be made before committing to a player. Part of watching BYU play defense against Air Force that I have always loved was watching the QB get drilled followed by the pitch man getting drilled. Hill's defense was pathetic and did not account for both the QB and the pitch man. :angry:



With our current LBs I feel pretty good about our chances against GT.
