Lech Walesa today endorsed Mitt Romney for president, saying he hoped the Republican presidential candidate is "successful."

Flash: Lech Walesa, the Nobel Prize winner and former Polish president, has effectively endorsed Romney

Walesa: "I wish you to be successful because this success is needed to the United States, of course, but to Europe and the rest of the world, too. Gov Romney, get your success -- be successful!"

I get that people like Romney, but not every endorsement is a "get." This is the guy who has proposed communism as the solution to economic disparity in Africa, and in the same editorial mentions in an "oh-by-the-way" fashion that Africa is like a microcosm of the world economy---the hint being that communism could solve worldwide economic disparity.

I don't understand how the endorsement of a guy who endorses communism is a good get unless you are trying to kill Romney with faint praise.
