Has 2013 Schedule Over-Shadowed The 2012 Season?

For at least a few - anticipation of that sumptuous feast of opponents being devoured by Super Phenom QB, Taysom Hill, seems to have placed the 2012 Season squarely in the way of what fans can't wait to see. Is it just a few?

Nope. Hasn't for me. Geeez...I couldn't even tell you off the top of my head who we all play this season let alone 2013. I'll worry about 2013 during the summer prior to the season when there is nothing else to worry or talk about.

This. My sentiments exactly. Fun and entertainment is imminent. Defense will be very good - maybe great. ST good to very good. Offense decent. Overall - very good. Possibly undefeated at LES and competitive on the road.

All I can say is that I can;t wait for the open Fall practice. Will be there with the family. Then to see 7 games this year.



Just got my airline tickets to CHicago for the ND game, so way too pumped for 2012 to begin.

Although, I think it is also fair to say that big 2013 scheduling news will trump the 2012 for a few days since the 2012 season hasn't started yet.

Rent a car and drive up north for brats and cheese to whet your appetite for 2013 - but not til after the ND game - first things first.



I have to go back to Hawaii at least once to wrap up renovations being made to my house and to get it on the market. This was all supposed to be ready to go July 1. How many times can Lowes mis measure, lose, mis order, mis deliver, damage, or have cabinets damaged enrout to Hawaii. IDK. Total is over 5 and still counting. I was going to write a blog about the 1-year kitchen remodel - but we are past 1 year now.



Anyway - if this disrupts my ability to be in Provo regularly this fall - I will be ticked off beyond measure.

With all the complaining about future BYU schedules, we finally have some good news to rejoice in. Fall camp is still a couple of weeks away.



Got my ND tickets and plan to go to Atlanta for the GA Tech game the following week. Also going to the BSU game in September. Plan to attend 5 of 6 home games (will be out of town for Utah State game). SJSU and NMSU will likely depend on BYU's record at that point. (If we are in or sniffing the top 10, I'll make a better effort to see these games live).

U R Committed. BYU needs more fans like you - elite fan in my book. U single, have a supportive spouse, or able to bribe? My wife would bring out the "your lover - BYU Football" whine and threaten divorce after the 2nd road trip - she might tolerate 3 or 4 Provo trips if she misses my BYU Law School son enough to overcome her disdain for Utah trips and joins me - or if she wants to go visit her mom or sister or our daughter in Cal or AZ - then I get a free pass. But that would never get me to all of the road games.



That is where BYU TV and ESPN come in for me.

Wife and kids. But it is definitely a give-and-take. It helps that we live in Utah, so I can take the wife or some of the kids to home games and Boise is a reasonably quick trip. Also, my wife's sister is in Atlanta, so I can bribe her with a long weekend with extended family.



I've told my wife to prepare for road trips to Madison in 2013, Austin in 2014, and Lincoln in 2015. (I might have to take her to Hawaii in 2013 and 2015, but without the side visits to Aloha Stadium - darn).

Check with Lenny Gomes about legal issues - I believe your Lowe's staff may be Yewts. They should be pumping your gas not re-modeling.

Whereever did you get the idea that 13 was trumping 12? Lowes?

The 2013 scheduling has only over-shadowed all the other July BYU Football news (aka "nothing"). Once Fall Camp starts, 2012 will be in the limelight.

2012 is what I am looking forward to. 2013 confirms the future of independence.

This. And I agree with Sno. 2013 is great news, but once this season kicks off, I won't give 2013 a second thought.



I've got my tickets for Atlanta. I'll be seeking more signatures on my BYU helmet, and this time I won't ignore the back-ups. ;)
