Scheduling rumors--Wisconsin confirmed for 2013

Hearing that BYU will announce 2 deals in the next week or two. One with a Big 10 team (most likely Wisconsin and probably for 2014-15--coincides with Utah series being off, and Bronco has commented on this one so it should not be a shocker), and the other being an ACC team. As to the ACC not sure who it will be, but I know that BYU was discussing a deal with Cuse before they went to the ACC, so it could be them. Other past rumors included Clemson. Don't hold me to that one, as I really do not know who it will be. If I hear specifics, will pass it on..



I think the timing of getting the Utah deal sorted for the next 4 years is allowing BYU to put out other scheduling news now.

If BYU was holding off Big 10 and ACC waiting for the Utes - incredible that they would do so - unless we are talking about 1 and done or 2 for 1 or un-neutral field deals. If that is the case - keep holding them off.



This is a moral victory of sorts even with the 2-year gap. We got home and away and the U comes here first.

Wisconsin deal has been rumored for a long time. IT is home and home 2014-15. Vince Biegel commented on it when he was being recruited, it goes back that far. Bronco talked about it too. So that is a great deal for BYU and Wisconsin will love hte ESPN game. They get many in the Big Ten, but they also get stuck on Big Ten Network.

And the WIsconsin series is no longer a rumor. BYU to play @Wisconsin in 2013, with no return date announced yet. I suspect we get details on this today.

What kind of TV access will we have to the game in Wisconsin. Will it likely be shown on the Big 10 network? Does Dish Network even have the Big 10 network?

Hopefully at a minimum TH can get it re-broadcast on BYUTV.



If BYU has a good 2012 season, the game could be on ABC...?

ESPN has first rights on Big 10, so expect the game to be on ESPN or ESPN2.



As to dates, I suspect that it will be played game 1 to open the season. BUt just my opinion.

Dish (or DirecTV) owns a part of the BTN, but both satellite carriers have it. It's also available on Comcast, Time Warner, AT&T, and I think most other cable providers.

Well, for all you schedule Hawks, you wanted it and now you got it.

Oh yes, we have big games, but "The Hardest BYU Schedule Ever". I don't like this one bit. But some of you who yearn to be in a BIG Conference, this is what it will be like.

All the more I wonder if this chases out KVN and HOff to the draft earlier. Why play a pounding schedule that may not even land BYU into a bowl game.

But hey, We will have our big boys coming into Provo wont we.

When too much of a good thing is really bad...... :angry:

You could be on to something. I don't think players will run from this schedule but rather propel them to the NFL.

Bottom line, "Playas" that want an NFL career attend schools and want to compete that pit them against the best and where they get exposure. SEC has been shown to be an elite conference that sends the most players to NFL. We now have a very big boy schedule in 2013 - guarantee it will attract recruits who want to measure up and still experience what the Y has to offer. I smell the Poly pipeline opening up full throttle.

Your logic astounds me. Really. So, now that this is announced, how many big-time recruits that are not already committed to you think will jump now? That was part 1. Part 2: how many of them will even see the field in 2013 - let alone contribute to a win?



I totally agree that if BYU can catch lightning in a bottle 9 or 10 times - this will be huge for the program. Unfortunately, the odds of a season worse than 2010 are much higher. We all saw what 2010 brought.

This. Do a poll DM and get everybody on record so that when the whining and hate start up - we can remind the fans that begged for this.
