Riley Nelson named to Maxwell Award Watchlist

Riley Nelson was named to the Maxwell Award Watchlist.

His pass efficiency rating of 152.93 was No. 16 in the country and helped BYU rank fifth in the country in third-down conversions. Nelson threw at least three touchdown passes in a game on five occasions, including a career-best 363 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-20 win at Hawaii.

The Maxwell Award has been given to America's most outstanding collegiate football player since 1937, and is named in honor of sportswriter Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell.

EVERY SR BYU QB should be on this watch list. No need to upgrade or downgrade doing what most SR QBs should do.

This is nice. I continue to expect BYU and Riley Nelson to meet or exceed all independent and objective expectations for 2012.
