My first thought: WOW! That's one ugly helmet!



My second thought: Wait, their unis are already ugly, why not uglify them a bit more to put them solidly in the Oregon catagory

Wow, having red accents on your helmet when it's nowhere close to a school color? I just don't get it.

I am in Dallas this week on business and a local sports station was discussing the uniforms. They said that the pants were supposed to represent the skin of the Horned Frog and the red on the helmet is the blood that the Horned Frog spits when it is angry. They did mention that the problem with the pants is that they just look dirty.



At least that is what they were saying here.



It has been fun to listen to them talk about TCU and that they are sold out for the game this weekend. They keep saying that TCU can beat anyone. Should be a great game this weekend.

I hope TCU isn't falling into the 1996 BYU vs UW trap of worrying more about the uniforms than winning the game.

Even if it's true, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Is that why BYU's turn of the millennium jerseys had tan; to match the cougar??? Does this mean that BYU would need fangs on the facemask to keep up with this fashion statement??

Yeah, it talks about the blood on the description of the helmet, I just think it's dumb. We could add red on the pants because a cougar will bite it's leg off if it gets trapped/stuck because of it, but that also would be stupid.

I kind of like it.

I don't mind them as a one time deal. TCU could wear Zebra-skin Zubaz pants and they'd still look better than the U.
