BYU 2009 like TCU 2006?

In 2006 TCU ended up 11-2 with a sr QB, losing to BYU and Utah, played a no name team in a no name bowl, beat SDSU 52-0.

In 2007 TCU went 8-5 with a FR QB, losing big to Texas and four close games, losing by an average of 4 in each. Wins another lower tier bowl against a better known team.

In 2008, Soph QB, back to 11-2, only losses to two top 5 teams, beats an undefeated team in bowl game.

In 2009, Jr QB, looks to be undefeated and in a BCS game...



In 2009 BYU is trending toward 11-2, sr. qb with losses to TCU and FSU, probably will be in a low tier bowl against a mediocre team, and beat Wyoming 52-0.

In 2010, likely led by Fr QB, reasonably strong team on both sides of the ball but young, probably losing 3-5 games.

2011, Soph QB, hopefully new defensive and offensive pieces gelling, season like 2006-2007.

2012, breaking through to BCS?



This requires that the right offensive and defensive pieces are being brought on board, and taught well. Seems possible to me.

I think 2011 and 2012 are the goal as far as the BCS goes. IT is probably going to take 2-3 years after this one to get to that level. The D has further to go than the O currently, but recruiting gets us there.
