New rumor BYU/ND and Big12

Ahhhh ...... the endless Conference Rumor Games. I never tire of the unlimited possibilities. Who knows, one day, the rumor will be true. There has to be some smoke in that woodpile somewhere.

You can't trust Bleacher Report however it was an outside the box solution that is appealing. it solves our November and bowl issues and avoids the conference champtionship if that is their goal.

I read it too. Nothing realistic in the slightest. It was likely taken down because someone was offended by the blatent misquote or other issues.



My take is that Chip Brown complained or is blaming BYU in part of his "pre-crime" speech.

Looks like it is gone from their website. That is interesting. It said that ND and BYU would play 4 games in the Big12 each year. Each team would participate in the bowl contracts. No championship game. ND would get tier 3 with NBC.



I think it said that ND and BYU would move their olympic teams over except for hockey.

I could not find it, but stumbled across The Top 125 or so football ranking.



Iirc, Georgia Tech was slightly behind us while ND was ahead of us with Utah ahead of them and BSU ahead of Utah. Utah - #22.



Put an ASTERISK by that one - The Bibster thinks they are a bit overrated.

My Personal policy is to never believe any conference rumor unless Chip Brown tweets the opposite

All conference expansion rumors are, are ideas that someone has about what would make sense to do. Occasionally with a small kernel of truth buried deep down at the root of it.
