Schedule Changes

I don't think that this year's schedule is all that bad, in fact in 3 out of the 6 BCS leagues, it might be better than whole divisions may have in those big leagues. The issue is the order. How much better would this schedule appear to the national and local media if it looked like this?



Aug 30 Weber State (put this one first because starting at home is better, if either of the next two were at home, those would be first)

Sept 8 @SJSU

Sept 15 @NMSU (don't know why we agreed to play these two teams on the road ever)

Sept 20 Hawaii

Sept 28 Washington State

Oct 5 @Utah (this should be the future traditional spot when this game is played)

Oct 13 Oregon State

Oct 20 Bye

Oct 27 @ Georgia Tech

Nov 3 Utah State (Good in-state game to start November)

Nov 10 @ Notre Dame

Nov 17 Idaho (warm up game for the finale)

Nov 24 @Boise St



Those last 3 road games are as good as almost any team in the ACC, Big East, or Pac 12 would have. If BYU could just schedule any name teams at home, BYU's strength of schedule will be as good as anyone's in the country.

Eh, the schedule is only so-so. It does look better the way you put it though. The schedule is better than last years', but only slightly.



The Utes killed Georgia Tech last year without a quarterback. Notre Dame has been down for over a decade, and I think everyone is starting to realize that.



BSU is a good game, and Utah will be a good game. USU is an average game. The rest are trash teams. I'm afraid that we had a better SOS when we played the last few years in the MWC, and scheduled ASU, FSU, Washington, etc.

Agreed that the perception is that this year's schedule is better. Indy schedule can't be fairly evaluated until 2013 after our transtion to indy years.



Also I disagree about GA Tech. They had the bowl game won and blew it.
