The update on Detmer's high school team was the most interesting part of this article although Detmer's humility and matter-of-factness is always refreshing.
His team, after being winless his first year, started out hot and faded to 3-7 after his QB went down in week 4 due to injury. Must have been some QB. Injured in week 4, but was signed by The Miami Hurricanes. Perhaps Detmer has some recruiting skills.
