Both are young and should move even higher with experience. The biggest risk for falling from glory will be the likely over-scheduling at both schools. This will almost certainly undermine KWhitt. Mendenhall may be saved since nobody wants to play us straight up - but more likely doomed as we keep giving 2fers, 1anddones, unneutral sites, and crossing 2 time zones trying to get on the big stage with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday games breaking any possible rhythm.



They will both get better but possibly look and rank worse.

PS - not bad for a guy who cannot pick good assistants, knows nothing about offense, puts football at way too low of a priority, does not prepare the team for big games, cannot develop talented players, and cannot recruit early round NFL draft potential players even when they are LDS.



Imagine how high he would be ranked if he was actually good and respected by his own fans.

But you do see a number of former Cougars coaching successfully in various places - not only like Utah - but also out of the region. Slow white guys may struggle to make it big in the NFL as players - but they are usually smart and overachievers and make great coaches.
