GT canceled 2014 and 2017

Looks official.



I think BYU should schedule Louisville to replace starting 2013.

At least these are early October games, so hopefully we can replace them with quality games.

Opens up spots for when BYU joins the Big12, right?

Meh, it was a good matchup with a brand-name team, but those were going to be tough games to win without much real payoff. Very similar to playing Air Force but with more talent and better coaching. GT plays some ugly nasty football, I think we'd beat them 2 chances in 3 but the injury penalty would be huge too.

Probably the biggest con with indy is scheduling and it is just getting harder and harder.

Oh well. Maybe BYU can get some real competition now.

Replace them with SDSU and move on.

Disagree. I think BYU should play a California team every year. It's good for alumni and recruiting. I'd be fine with playing SDSU on a regular basis to go along with our regular games against BSU, USU, Hawaii and hopefully Utah.
