NFL Draft and BYU Players

While we all know that Matt R eynolds and Hebron Fangupo have been mentioned as likely candidates to get drafted, IMO there are others who also might get a sniff: namely Jordan Pendleton and McKay Jacobsen. Any others that you guys see making the cut and finding a place in the league?

And Terence Brown is on the list

I think that Blue is Better has a better chance getting drafted in the NBA draft with his church ball skills than Jacobsen has in getting drafted to the NFL

but as to the post, M. Reynolds will be drafted 5th-ish. He really killed himself with a lazy off season and year. One good helmetless block doesn't make up for all the weakside pressure he allowed.



Fangupo might go 6th-ish or so. You could certainly do worse than to take him in the 5th or 6th round.



Jacobsen, not a chance in hell he gets drafted. He might get invited to a camp, but that's about it. As WR's go, he is nothing special when it comes to the NFL. There isn't a spot in the NFL for guys with 4.6 speed that give up on routes and balls in the air, and piss and moan after every single play of not being thrown to.



T Brown might, might not. I don't think he will, but he'll (maybe) get invited.



JP won't get drafted, but should get invited somewhere. As long as he stays healthy, he has a legit chance of making the 55 roster on a team.

I think you are 100% right. I've played in a few church basketball leagues where I played against "World Peace." Or a few guys that acted just like him. LOL!!! :bug: :whistle:

I read somewhere that Jacobson had turned in some pretty good times at the nfl workouts and had the eyes of a couple of scouts. Is it just me or does this seem to be a little more common that what I think it should be. In my opinion they should be turning heads during the season and not wait to get in front of nfl scouts. But anyways, I think Jacobson got himeself a free agent contract with his performance in at NFL day. Too bad he didn't "turn in" any consistent performances over the last three years.

I agree that he was not consistent. On the other hand, although inconsistent, he made some big plays.



I have heard rumblings that he was not 100% healthy.



Or maybe he is the Jake Heaps of the receiving unit - a great practice receiver - which would explain why he got so much PT - "his potential for greatness".

How is it that Utah St. gets 2 draft picks before BYU even gets one?

Probably for the same reasons they have almost beat us two years in a row. M. Reynolds could have gone much, much sooner. It's a shame he had to tank it his senior season like he did.

Also consider that individual talent does not a team make, that we have many underclassmen who are returning starters, etc. etc. etc.
