The RI speedster Joshua Morris was impressive again in the NLA Vegas Elite 7 on 7 after playing well in Atlanta early this month.

Not sure what to think. Could be good. Claims he runs a 4.3 forty

Didn't see 4.3 speed. He appears suited for the role that Falslev plays or at boundary corner - does seem to come up with interceptions on coverage if thrown in his direction.

He's visiting June 13th for their Elite Junior Day - hoping to impress the coaches and get an offer from them. He likes Coach Poppinga, and realizes that if he flew out to RI, he must be impressed with him.



Appears coaches are considering him as a DB, Slot Receiver and Kick Returner. Appears to be in the mold of Jordan Johnson but a little better.



Looks like he could be a dual sport athlete and run track with Hinds, Weeks, Williams, and Arslanian.

He was interviewed in an article I read today. Said he likes the values of BYU, and the fact that they were first to offer him. Bronco talked about him as a kid BYU would not have been able to even potentially get prior to Indy and the ESPN deal.

First impression is that we have a communication problem between Coach Poppinga and Mr. Morris. Not sure if his make-up trip to BYU is going to be as impressive as if he would have attended BYU Jr. Camp. Not feeling the vibes on this recruit as it appears he likes RI - being closer to home.

Or the communication problems are due to NCAA rules about no contacting.

The kid should have Poppinga's cell number and Poppinga should see him calling and step out of any meeting he is in to take the call - that is if he is someone the coaches actually want.



Of course the NCAA rule is ridiculous but that goes without saying

Pretty interesting turn of events. Hopefully he gets another shot.

It is getting close to being too late. There are not a lot of scholarships left.
