UCLA-BYU match last night

I am a little surprised that there has been no discussion here about the game. BYU had won the game in the 5th set but then UCLAs coach argued for 10 minutes leading to the ref calling replay. We ended up losing. MPSF ruled today to replay the 5th set starting at 16-16. Double won.



PS the ball was in by a foot for an Ace and a should be win for us.



PPS UCLA has delelted the point from the tape of the game.

Sounds like BYU got royally screwed. Like 1972 US-USSR bball screwed.

Al Scates announced that the 2012 season would be his final season as the UCLA Men's Head Volleyball Coach.



In his second to last home match at UCLA, Scates embarrassed himself and the entire sport of volleyball by physically and verbally bullying the head referee immediately after BYU was declared to be the winning team. After 15 minutes of unsportsmanlike conduct, Scates, probably because he is a "legend" of the sport, successfully persuaded the referee to re-start the match that BYU had just won. Several minutes later, after a series of BYU miscues, UCLA won the controversial match. Video and Photo evidence have surfaced, provided sufficient evidence that the referee was originally correct. Because Scates was standing right near the controversial call, he also probably knew that the referee was right, but was unwilling to accept the fact that his team lost, fair and square.

BYU WON 18-16. Now on to the second match.

Won the first 2 points of the replay to win match one.Gets blown out in match 2 losing 3-0.
