BYU - WYO Game Thread

Here we go.

Good to see that Mckay Jacobson is back and looking good so far. A nice catch on 2nd and 13.

So far on the first drive, Wyo simply cannot tackle Unga. At least 5 yards per carry so far.

Wow! Did you see that scramble by Hall? I thought for sure that he was going to be sacked.

Hall connects with JJ for a huge td pass, JJ was wide open along the sidelines.



I can't believe that the refs flagged JJ for excessive celebration after the TD. He didn't do anything but a few chest bumps with teammates! What team hasn't done that??

On a drive started with great field position due to a bogus celebration penalty BYU holds Wyo to a 3 and out.



Chambers is hilarious in that he will not call for a fair catch, no matter how surrounded he is by opponents.

By the way, for those watching the game on TV, at least on DirecTV the sync with KSL is perfect. No annoying MTN announcers.

Second offensive series showed the Cougars again moving the ball pretty smartly, although Harvey hand more struggles this time, have a few short yardage gains and one loss. Hall has been showing a lot of Moxy so far. OC had a great screen catch that he took for 20 yards, JJ had another great screen that he took for 11 on a 3rd and 8. The offense couldn't quite get it in though and had to settle for a 36 yard fg.



BYU 10 - WYO 0

Second defense has BYU dropping WYO for a loss every play, until it was 4th and 24.



BYU starts on the WYO 37 yard line.

Dennis Pitta catches a 13 yard pass for a 1st down, as well as setting the record for the most consecutive games with a catch at 39 (I didn't hear the exact number, but thats what I think it was).



Cougars are dominating on offense and defense at this point.

Third Offensive series for BYU. Short field, only 37 yards to go, BYU got them quickly. Harvey once again came out and punished defenders, taking one guy out of the field. Capped off with a 2 or 3 yard pass to Manase Tonga for the TD.



According to KSL after the 1st quarter, BYU is on pace for 700 yards, Wyo is on pace for 0. They have 3 total pass yards, and -3 total rushing yards.

BYU's 3rd defensive series... BYU gave up the first down, but then stopped WYO with some nice pressure on the QB.



Wyo started to try a fake punt, but an inadvertent whistle stopped the play. too bad, because they never could have made the first.

That was a nice pass and run. Almost looked like the same play that got the 80yd TD by McKay during the FSU game.

BYU's fourth offensive series. 1 play, 79 yards to McKay Jacobson for a TD.



Hall rolled out to his right side, while Jacobson made a double move to get past everyone on the defense. The pass was a real beauty too, had to have been at least 30 - 40 yards in the air.

Fifth Offensive series... we saw a lot more Pitta this drive, until he got a wicked hit in the back by a combination JJ and Wyo defender that literally bent him in half backwards. Manase Tonga ends up running in for the TD. Right now BYU looks like BYU and Wyo looks like last years Wyo.

Logan injured, being helped off the field. Doesn't help our cause, not that we have too much to worry about in this game.

He did like a 6 second Irish jig holding the football in the endzone. It was hilarious, but also impossible to not flag.
