That's IF Rogers and Collinsworth can even make it back next year. If not our.team becomes incredibly shallow. With Harrison going on a mission we need a J.C. replacement for Martineau. An Abouo type player would be awesome. Someone who can play a 2, 3, or possibly a 4 vs smaller teams

Rogers should be fine and man we need him. I don't really care about C.C. because he'll never do anything at the D1 level anyway. Although we'll have no depth of course. Any chance for some transfers?

PG - Cusick (he improved over the season)/Winder (he did a better job at it than Carlino.

SG - Carlino/Haws

SF - Rogers/Zylstra

PF - who knows...

C - Davies/Austin

I think I like Davies at the 4 with Austin at the 5. Both can step out and shoot the J, but if a big is going to put the bal on the floor, it should be Davies, not Austin.

Yeah, Austin is the defense and free-throw line threat on the top. Davies is the low post threat. (Whenever he chooses to actually do that :) )





This team is a significant upgrade over this years, even losing Noah and Abuou.

Haws gives us the 3pt shot we have been missing to get that inside-out half court offense. Austin was a great player this year and should only get better. Carlino also. He was good this year, and should be even better next year.

If I remember right haws was not a great 3 pt shooter but more of a mid range game. Great FT shooter whose streak is still going, good rebounder and good decision maker.

the Cougars will welcome back guard Tyler Haws, who returns home from a mission after starting 33 games as a freshman in 2009-10. Haws averaged 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and shot 50 percent from the field, and 37 percent from 3-point range.

I really don't think Rogers is sturdy enough to be a season long starter. He can, if healthy, provide great spark off the bench. Haws really belongs at the 3, IMO.

Davies/CC/ and possibly Sharp--although He really is too skinny and small for 4.

Austin/Harward/Davies (no way sharp)

I think we have many, many 25 win teams in us.



Next season will be a better season than this one, for starters. Noah will be hard to replace, but Davies can fill that role well.

We are very vulnerable at the 4 next year. Need some insurance. Sharp is not the insurance we need either. Charles could sub at. The 4 and did so admirably last year bc of his size and athleticism. Sharp cannot do that. Wish he could. Probably a great kid. But. Serviceable at the 3 is the best we can hope for.

If Collinsworth recovers (cross your fingers) and Harward gets his legs back we could be okay at the 4 as that would allow Austin to play center and Davies man the 4.



Collinsworth and Harward are two big unknowns, though.

Davies is going to be the 4 next year, and play side by side with Austin @ center.



Davies is severely undersized for a center against any top 50 team. He was even undersized against Gonzaga.

It's not beef, so much as height and beef. Davies is undersized in both at the C position.

Sharp struggled this year- that's normal for RM's. What makes you believe he won't be able to provide minutes at the 4 next year?



Granted he has a lot to work on, but he has the height and athletic ability. He needs to get stronger and improve his shooting.



Stephen Rogers can slide do the 4 if we play zone.

The future is very bright for Cougar bball. We have some really good players coming into the program.
