Mike D'Antoni is going to be the next head coach of the Sacramento Kings.



No source, no inside info, just seeing the stars align for Jimmer as Sacto looks to rebuild an entertaining brand of hoops with a deep back-court and no defense and without a real head coach.

I think it would work, but not with Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins... those guys are the anti-D-antoni type of players

Evans has one year left at 7 million, and is in his 4th season. Cousins has one year left at 6.5 with a restricted year after that, and he is only in his 3rd season.



That's another plus for a D'Antoni type guy who is going to want rework a roster to get personnel to fit a peculiar style--pretty much anyone on the team can be moved fairly easily, especially those two.

I'd love for D'Antoni to be the next Kings' coach. I was hoping Jimmer was drafted by the Kings so he could play in that wide open style.
