BYU vs Iona - play in for a 14 seed.

Just noticed, Baylor is a 3 seed. I think we could have (should have) beat Baylor after leading them by 13. Maybe we could steal one to make the round of 32 for 3 years straight. Maybe Marquette isn't unbeatable.

I don't know about online or cell phone, but surprisingly (I had no clue I had it), truTV is carried pretty commonly by DirecTv (channel 246) and Dish Network (channel 204).

Iona plays 2 6'7" forwards and a bunch of guards. Davies, Hartsock and Austin should have huge size advantages.



On the other hand Machado is a very good experienced point guard. We are going to have to have a serious game plan to deal with their 3 pters.

And beyond that is the winner of Murray State and Colorado State. Wouldn't it be nice to play Colorado State again?

Just saw this from Gurney on twitter: "Nevada was a common opponent for BYU and Iona...BYU beat the Wolfpack 76-55...Iona beat them 90-84." And BYU is more than 150 spots higher in defensive efficiency than Iona. Iona is in the top of most offensive efficiency areas though.

Iona is a short All-Offense No-Defense team. Meaning they have the possibility to eat us alive from the 3-point line.



BYU is now 101st in adjusted offense.

Iona is 15th.

Gotta go after them in the paint. Feed the ball to Davies and man the 3-point line on D. Repeat that gameplan over and over again. Don't chuck up many 3s. Play Winder for D. Don't let Carlino jack them up all game long. Rebound hard.

Rose is going to have to realize that perimeter defense must improve for this game. If that means less Cusick so be it. We need Winder big time in this game

Wrubell tweated that Hartsock looked great yesterday but Rogers not so much. Our team has totally gone down hill without the outside threat Rogers provided. We need Charles to be more assertive from the arc. He can hit them and we need somebody to step up from the outside

BYU's true seed was a 48 which equates to a 12 seed but we end up getting hosed with a 14 seed

What does "true seed" mean? BYU had an RPI of 42 this morning (11 seed).

I'm just glad we're in, my beef mainly is that we go chucked back east when there is an article on ESPN quoting that the tournament was attempting to put teams more in a regional setting. Unless those nimrods don't have an atlas handy, not only were we dis-ed as a #14 seed, we were shipped to about the worst place fan-wise they could send us.



Bottom line though is that I am happy to have a shot at a win.
