March Madness Seeding Predictions

12 seed and we'll be playing out East about 200 miles from the home town of our first round competitor.

I just want to get in, any seed. I think this team has the makings of an upset maker/Cinderella story if we get Noah to full strength and our guards play to their potential. Davies and Hartsock will give problems to any team in the country. Abouo just needs to play smart and not get into foul trouble. Carlino doesn't need to go crazy scoring, but simply give us a threat to drive or shoot the three and keep pushing the ball. The rest of the guys just need to play solid for the time that they're in.



If we can get our guys to play well all at the same time we will be a threat to beat most teams. I would not want to be the 5, 6 or 7 seed matched up against BYU as an 10, 11 or 12 seed, it would be too risky for an upset. I like our chances once we get in.

Projecting 3 PAC teams in with 3 more just left out is hideous, or the field is weak this year. Seems like the MWC or WCC should get 4 before the PAC gets 3 . . . Of course that would have to be an alternate dimension we'd be living in if that to happened.

I really don't see us getting in unless we win the first game and then beat Gonzaga. Two reasons: Lack of good wins and Hartsock's injury. Beating Gonzaga on a neutral court would be the good win that would put us in, even if we were to go on and lose to SM in the finals. Losing the first game would go into the bad loss column and not give us a chance for a good win. Winning the first game and losing to Gonzaga wouldn't give us a bad loss, but wouldn't give us a good win either, and, in my opinion, would put us into the NIT. Even with a good win against Gonzaga, we'd be chewing nails on selection Sunday as a classic bubble team. It could go either way. Seed? I'll take any seed, including one of the play-in games.

Agree. Getting to the finals is a must. I'm sure the team has the goal of winning the finals as they know it's the only sure way they'll get an invite. Fingers crossed.

This is totally true, GU gets a lot of respect and beating them is necessary for us to earn some more tourney respect. Last year SMC didn't get in and their resume was almost identical to ours this year. The committee doesn't give us much love, so a good showing in the WCC tourney is imparative.

Co ST beat UNLV tonight. It looks like the MWC will get 4 teams in this year.

This has been covered in other threads, other threads that you commented in about # of wins to get snubbed, but I'll cover it again. Last year SMC had 25 wins with a resume that was very closely similar to ours and got snubbed.
