How many teams, including all teams from every rinky dink conference in America, have more wins than BYU at this point in the regular season?



In addition, there might be another 13 teams with the same number of wins as BYU.

Year after year we learn that it's not the amount of wins but the quality of the team and it's schedule.



UConn won the national championship last year after going nearly .500 in their conference regular season.



BYU has a mid 40s RPI and to me that's not enough unless we make it to the WCC finals. Otherwise Noah and Charles will have more home games during the NIT.

Slightly disagree. If we win our next game, we are most likely in. If we win our next two - in for certain. Win the WCC Championship Game - Sweet.



I am not expecting to see any 25 win teams left out of the dance.



Did any get left out in recent years?

Was Ut St one of those a couple of years ago? They had 24 wins and went to the NIT in 2008.

Not a fair comparison. We're better than Utah State. and have fewer wins than they did. And we lost to them...wait. nevermind.

As stated previously, 24 wins probably will not get us in. It will be a long shot at 24.

Luckily Greg Wrubell tweeted about this today, because I was curious about the same thing. is 25 wins "safe."

Can't have any less than 25 wins. I think Utah State got left out one year with 25 wins.



24 wins = no dance

25 wins = possible invite

26 wins = we go dancing

Sure, St. Mary's didn't get in with 25 wins, but keep in mind the "Jimmer" factor, even 1 year later. BYU made the Sweet 16, almost the Elite 8, and the committee remembers these things. Keep in mind, the defending nationals champs, UConn, will still get into the Big Dance, with a bad record, because they're the defending national champs.
