Can't make tomorrow's game, but will be there for the barn burning on Sat at Santa Clara.

Me and Mrs. Chewie are going to both games as well we flew in last night and left the kids at home. We just ran into Chris Collinsworth down at fishermans warf a couple hours ago.

Are you going to do any of the Diner Drivin and Dives restaurants? I tried to get into Pier 23 but the line was too long last summer.

This is my first time in SF. Came at a perfect time. The weather is great. Any must sees/does while we're here?

Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz are always fun and classics. I think for Alcatraz you now have to book in advance. And, of course, there's riding a cable car.



Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf are interesting, but mostly a tourist trap. Worth a stroll through if you've got time to kill.



If you have kids with you, you may want to check out the California Academy of Science or the Exploritorium. Some great museums and gardens at Golden Gate Park.



If you're into music and bands, lots of great clubs in the area. Just run a search or two. And there are all the broadway shows and musicals too if that's your thing.



Oakland Temple is a 20 - 30 min drive across the Bay.



If you're looking for a beach, Ocean Beach is the closest to SF. If you fancy a bit of a drive along the coast and Highway 1, than Stinson Beach is a pretty spot.

Thanks for the info gunk. Wanted to see Alcatraz but all reservations filled up except for Saturday evening - would rather go to the game. Guess we'll have to make another trip back.
