Comparing Level of Interest 2011 Vs 2012

2011 was boring for many, especially late. How bout 2012? Better - Same - Worse?

Both lists ranked IMHO - 2012 is more interesting but November is only slightly more interesting due to one bye vs two.

7 teams from the 2011 schedule are or will be BCS Schools in 2013. USU and Hawaii are also interesting games. Four games were of minimal interest or suspense.



6-7 teams from 2012 schedule, depending on bowl opponent, are or will be BCS schools in 2013. USU and Hawaii are also interesting games. Four games will be of minimal interest or suspense.



The differences are subtle. There would be no difference if Texas was not struggling when we played them.



I ranked both lists so as you go down each list, the games get less interesting. So it comes down to whether ND will be having an off year like Texas had and Georgia Tech is about like TCU was and Utah is = Utah and BSU probably is better than UCF even though they will be down. And I would find a regional game like BSU to be more interesting than UCF almost any year. Several teams are the same teams both years. Weber State is a tiny bit more interesting than Idaho State. Washington State has been up lately and due to proximity - more interesting than Ole Miss.



Slight edge to 2012.
