I was hoping we would move the Idaho game. It would have been nice to get LA Tech instead of the other WAC games. ND should have been moved to Dec. 1

Next question is what the tv will be? Only one Friday game will we have less exposure this year?

Wow, tough schedule and really weak at the end. I can't imagine senior night on 10th of November.

Home has 3 decent games (Wassu, OSU and Hawaii). USU and WSU are instate. And lousy IU. What do you locals think? Is it better than last year?



Road 4 good games and 2 lousy games.



Overall a step up from last year. Holmoe said that 2013 has only one WAC team.

Greg Wrubell saying that another game may swing to Friday night to accommodate Tv.

Out of 13 games, including our bowling activity should we be fortunate enough to go bowling, 9 of the games will be reasonably interesting to BYU fans. National interest, other than a few of the games, will depend on whether we are ranked and creating some buzz.



Too bad 3 of the less interesting games are lumped together along with a bye in November. The bye may be a metaphor for BYU in November for years to come.



But this is a fun and respectable schedule. Hopefully we can enjoy 10+ wins - though that will take some doing. You could get to 3 losses pretty quickly, even with good health.

USU probably feels they are a worthy opponent as of late. This may be the year to put the Aggies back in their place.



Road schedule will be where the problems lie. I wish they could let the team go straight from ND to GA Tech without the travel fatigue of flying to and from Provo in between. I expect two straight losses in that stretch.



This is the year to put Utah and BSU in their places. You have to win State and Region.

I agree with Blaine Fowler on True Blue tonight that the toughest game will probably be GA Tech because it is after being on the road already to South Bend, and playing a team that is probably way better than AF ever was at the option.

I like our setup for the Pukes game. I don't thing it could be better for a game up on the hill.

By 2013, the WAC might not have 1 team! See post about the 2013/14 funeral for MWC and C-USA and thus, likely, WAC.

+1. I like to see them flip-flop the Weber with Washington St. Warm up with Weber first.

Chnaged my tv guess for BSU since they are currently still in MWC. ACC is in ESPN family so no change there. PAC is ESPN with Fox. TH did not give any more light on tv except depends on how the season goes. If we get hot we might move up in the broadcasts.

I hope BSU ends up going to the Big East this year. It would move that game to ESPN. Would also mean 6 BCS games scheduled (which I think is about right).

I would be surprised if the Hawaii game doesn't end up on ESPN or ESPN2. It seems that ESPN likes to feature that match up along with our SDSU games, kind of as a just in case there is an entertaining shootout a la the 90's.

Add in OSU and Norm Chow's inaugural season as HC at Hawaii and this glass is more than half full. Even USU has some recent drama. Probably won't happen but would it be a hoot if Riley's little brother sees the field?



Have fun. Enjoy it. 2012 will be a fun season for true fans even if we lose a few.

Negative: I'm a little bummed that Idaho wasn't pushed back a year & swapped for a BE/B12 team. Didn't need to be an elite program, just one that wouldn't be a huge drag on SoS.



Positives: NMSU & SJSU are away games, ticket-buying fans should be happy about that. GT is a clear upgrade over UCF. Playing the FCS team early makes for a more balanced schedule, October looks a lot better.



Going forward, the main challenge should be improving the November schedule. No reason why Boise & ND can't be late season games.



Would be nice to pencil-in Utah as a regular home & home. That's always an exciting game but looks like it will be less common. Still, there could be a silver lining. PAC teams will only schedule BYU early in the year. Losing the Holy War crutch makes it easier to schedule other PAC teams.
