Talk about no respect, BYU beats Gonzaga by double digits, spanks Pepperdine by over 20, and they get ZERO votes in the ESPN/Coaches Poll. Gonzaga loses by 10 on the road and beats a top #25 team at home, and they move up 3 spots and into the top 25.



I had to love the AP poll where Creighton is ranked 1 spot ahead of BYU (where at least we received votes), but in Lunardi's Bracketology, he has us playing them as the #11 seed with them being a #5 seed. Hmmm. Makes sense to me.

Last year I think we received some credit for "The Jimmer", and now we are being punished for, "they don't have The Jimmer".

Creighton is

2-1 vs. top 25 RPI

3-2 vs. Top 50



we are:

1-2 vs. top 25

1-4 vs. top 50



Basically, they have better wins, they also have worse losses, it appears you get more credit for quality wins than you do for bad losses.

No, we're being "punished" for only having one quality win on the season against Gonzaga. A game we were supposed to win as it was on our home court. Go beat Gonzaga on the road and we'll turn some heads.



We're getting "punished" for losing to LMU and losing to SMC on our home court.



Lastly, we're getting "punished" because we play in the WCC not the MWC, which currently ranks as the 5th most competitive conference in the nation.



Only reason WCC might get 3 bids this year isn't because the WCC is such a strong conference, but because the Pac12 is down so low this year. Were the Pac12 up, you can bet no one would be talking BYU in the NCAA tourney.

Hard to complain about the top 25 when our rpi is 47. Besides blowout losses to Utah state, loyola marymount, and st Marys twice, with two of those to sub-100 teams and two of those at home.
