Thanksgiving football in . . . Las Cruces?

It's on their website. I know everyone's been itching to go to Las Cruces for some time, well you can eat some turkey while you're there.



This is the worst timing for me. Probably the only weekend of the year I can't make it to Las Cruces from Tucson. Lame.

Not loving it, but if rumors are true that BYU and ND are moving their game to Dec 1, this gets smoothed over really fast.

That's a tough day - Thanksgiving. I would think the Cougs would try to reschedule that one. Maybe they can't. Tough weekend to travel and play.

I was thinking that might be a fun Thanksgiving trip, then I looked at a map and found where Las Cruces is located...... Never mind!

yeah, no chance of me taking that trip on thanksgiving. The at directions from Provo to there on google maps looks like it would be a fun drive. Mostly off the interstates (I love desolate, two lane highways)

Las Cruces is about 50 miles north of El Paso, so if you want to go to Mexico and get mugged, perfect weekend to knock that off your Bucket List.

Think of it as a culturally broadening experience and go - not that I will be crossing the Pacific for that game.



Turkey and Avocado - it should work ok. Not sure how well cranberry sauce and brown gravy and potatoes and yams go with avo - but turkey - avo - corn - corn bread - piñata - churros - pumpkin churros @copyright on that menu item - maybe I will kayak over to Baja and ride a mule train over to Las Cruces.

Nice schedule for NMSU, with just six games. The whole month of October to prepare for Auburn, then three weeks to prepare for us!

League games have notbeen announced.

Dang, I'll be in California this year for Thanksgiving and I actually wanted to go to Las Cruces this fall as we have our best friends from our DC days down there. That sucks.



I remember a few years back when Cal, for some bizarre reason, gave NMS a home game and there were only a couple of thousand fans reported to have attended (total). I think we'll do better than that, but I still never understood why Cal went, when it had to have cost them far, far more to go to Las Cruces that they ever received in visitor revenue for that game. BCS money I guess and they wanted to go the 40 miles further to cross the border for some sombreros and blankets.
