Franchuk is from what planet?

Reading this statement from him just made me ask the question what planet Franchuk was on:



"The stretch run is, in perspective, a yawner. It's unlikely BYU is playing for any better than third place right now."



BYU is currently 1/2 game out of 2nd. Suddenly we're unlikely for any better than 3rd place with the Zags (who are in 2nd) having to play both SMC and BYU? Hey, I saw the game on Saturday that we "managed" to win by 19 and I realize that our guard line shooting is still in "critical condition", but if we find our 3-ball once again, I think we blow through easily to 2nd place. We struggle with that 3-ball, and then holding onto 3rd is going to be the best we do. Still that's a pretty half-empty statement from Fanchuk.



Maybe "unlikely" has a different meaning on his planet. On our planet I would say a better word might have been "possible".

Been over a year since I've clicked on the Daily Herald or one of Franchuk's sorry excuses for reporting and my life has been all the better for it.

BYU still has a chance to hit 2nd in the WCC. Heck, there's even a remote possibility we could still win out right, but that's just silly talk.



Franchuk is just being his usual self, downplaying BYU and making things out to be worse than they are.

Or just quick and sloppy reporting, missing a critical detail.

Yeah, that is sloppy writing, even if we finish third, we are still playing for second
