Does Wyoming have a chance?

I just don't see this game even being close. The only chance WYO had was for some bad weather to make things harder for BYU, but it looks like it should be a beautiful November day.

I know their defense seems to be pretty opportunistic, but BYU has done a pretty good job over the last few games of taking care of the ball.

Is there any way this won't be a rout? I see Riley getting some significant playing time.

I watched Wyo v. Puktah and was actually somewhat impressed with some of the things that Wyoming was doing both offensively and defensively. Obviously, the pokes have a long way to go on offense, but their defense seems to be rather tough. I am not going to go so far as to say the game will be close or that Wyoming will win. All I am saying is that Wyoming is actually improving, but they have a ways to go. I give them a year or two to be somewhat competitive.

Wyoming was one drive or good break going their way away from beating Utah. That being said I think Utah is pretty down this year, at least on offense. I think BYU comes out with some fire and puts a big hurt on them early and then lets them kinda stick around, but not too close.

Wyoming is no TCU. I'd go with no.

The pokes are much better this year than in years past. If we play cougar football, we run away with this one. But this isn't gonna be a gimme game like Tulane, they're going to make us work for it.

In a word, yes. It's in Laramie. WY is on the rise. If we come out flat or uninspired, it will be a real contest. If I had to pick, I'd say BYU by 10, but I thought we'd play TCU tough

Wyoming is a good team. They are well coached and play hard. Usually that translates into close games and wins. Don't be suprised if Wyoming keeps this thing within 1 score all the way to the end. utah's offense may be down but their defense is as good as it always is and Wyoming's freshmen QB gave them trouble for most of the game. I expect them to be able to move the ball and score on our defense. I don't think their defense can stop our offense though. I just hope all you that are predicting blowout don't come back here and do the usual complaining when the game turns out to be a very close hard fought game.

Only way we lose is if we turn it over 3 or more times. Otherwise, we score too much for Wyoming to hang.
