Few thoughts.



Carlino is still learning. But I like his aggression. He's going to be good. Depends a little too much on his athletic ability instead of playing within the system and himself.



Don't know why Hartsock isn't getting more touches. I realize that Davies is good in the post, but I wouldn't mind seeing HArtsock touch the ball 2x for every 1 touch that Davies gets.



BYU is paying for the return on Rogers who is not 100%. I wonder if Rogers looks a half step slower because he's worried about the knee.



LMU is a good team. The guard play in the WCC has been solid so far. BYU is going to struggle when opponents can pressure the ball full court and have guards that know how to knock down jumpers.

I'm surprised to be struggling so. We used to be a better road team than we are this season. Here's hoping we find our stride in the 2nd half.

BYU used to have a bunch of seniors. Now they have underclassmen and guys who relied on Jimmer to get the job done on the road.



Hartsock has totally made my point here in the second half. Davies has let two balls get away from him and everything that goes through Hartsock's hands has turned into points.



Cusick was just what doctor Rose ordered.

Weird, but I just had one of those mysterious moments of deju vu and in my memory we won this game. We'll see how that turns out with 14:08 to go in the game.

Good think LMU is ICE COLD.

I'd like BYU to adopt LMU's inbounds plays. I hate that BYU throws the outlet pass over the top of the defense every out of bounds play.

Carlino is always careless with the ball. I don't like him dribbling at all. But man what kind of sorry perimeter defense is this? They must know that LMU is looking to shoot 3's and everyone is 5 feet off the nearest shooter. Wow.

But a very strong defensive press by the Lions.

I don't know if it's bad luck, the rotation on the floor, or what, but for whatever reason, LMU has looked a lot better with Carlino on the floor.

Interesting that Rose went to Winder over Zylstra against the press down the stretch. Winder made a couple of mistakes. He played good D and made two big free throws, so I think it was a net win.



Cusick was exposed again as not having enough quickness to bring the ball up against a quick guard.
