sounds like we would have given him an offer of once he met Bronco's requirement to see him in person so it's not like we didn't want him. Not sure how big of a loss this is. Does kind of suck that he was a "life-long BYU fan"

If he's not willing to take 45 minutes to drive South & meet with Bronco, he's not our guy. If Bronco told me he wanted to meet with me, then extend a scholarship - I'd be there.

Amen. Contrast this kid's approach to that of JJ who drove with his dad from Cali to accept the schollie and make the commitment in person. I think by now we recognize the type of player that will flourish under Bronco's system and on the surface he doesn't appear to fit the mold. Funny thing, he is going to the Utez while just lost their DC/Sitake to UW.

A "life long BYU fan" won't drive to Provo to meet with the person who would be his head coach in order to get a scholorship offer? That doesn't make sense. Looks like another person decides to flame BYU to the media in order to make them look bad. I wouldn't offer a kid a scholorship without meeting with him in person either. utah can have him. I don't care if he turns out to be an all american and a 1st round NFL draft pick.

Yeah, there's more to this story than is being reported.

But he will serve his mission first. He could change his mind.
