Bronco on Heaps Transfer to Kansas

We could all be so classy.

It is just way to bad that Nelson and Heaps could not square off in a Bowl Game in 2012. Technically, wouldn't Heaps be eligible in late Dec like Carlino was early Dec this year. Ain't gonna happen, obviously - but that would be fun to watch. But Munns Vs Heaps in 2013 might be entertaining too. Munns owes Heaps a favor, but maybe he could prove he deserved the shot Heaps may have now given him.



Heaps had said he will not talk about why he transferred until after the Holidays - which means after he is out of Provo. Probably wise - no win situation no matter what he says in Provo.



Unless he says his love and fellowship with the players made him realize that Lark and Munns both deserved a shot and he knew he had been blocking that shot. So he took one for the team and left.

It will be very interesting to see what Jake Heaps has to say. I suspect he will be negative. I hope he does not "flip" and become anti-BYU. We shall see. I'm neutral right now, but somewhat apprehensive about what Jake has to say.

The wisest thing Jake Heaps could do is shut up and get to work. His BYU time is over, he shouldn't talk about anything except how excited he is to be at Kansas and how he can get in and get to work on the scout team there.

It wil be interesting to see if he flips and goes negative. I don't think he will bc of the way Bronco has treated him with so much class.

I also think he would have learned his lesson and not want to "talk". Maybe that's a stretch. Regardless the media dogs will bark and he will have to respond to get them off.

Maybe he'll pull a max hall, citing the way his wife was treated and Dick H will be by his side and reveal himself to be on the advisory team. :-)
