This is a great article about how highly recruited Lark has dealt with the frustration of not playing, but embraced the unexpected bonanza of benefits outside of football from being at BYU, competed with Nelson who beat him in the 2006 HS Championship game, and became best friends in the process. Nearly beat Nelson for the back-up spot in 2011 and has always worked hard. He chose not to quit.
I had always hoped that Heaps would weave in and leave room for Nelson, Lark, and Munns to each get a window of opportunity to shine. With no mission plans, Heaps seemingly made that impossible. In his own way, Heaps has opened the windows. But, I had always hoped Heaps would finish the story - not start it and leave.
