Who did more for the Utes.... the refs or their awful team?

Honestly, I think if the refs had called this game fairly, that we would have beaten them by 40+, in spite of Utahs slow down techniques.



side note: How would you feel if your coach managed the game only to keep it close (with little to no concern about winning)? Down by 20+ and still using the full shot clock = cowardly and unforgivable

BYU's first 10 minutes was the worst of all. It was the worst stretch of play I have seen by a Dave Rose team. That makes 3 games this year with bad stretches. Luckily, were playing the worst D-1 team in the country.

It seemed pretty obvious that Crisco was hoping that his guys could at least get 40 if they pushed for it. The game was over and he was trying to save a little face on the box score. If I were him, I would have had my starters out for the last 5 minutes and told his bench to just go play hoops. Then I would have turned around and given the starters a tongue lashing for 5 minutes.



What Crisco did in order to avoid staying in the 30s was weak (but it worked)

Crisco was trying to save face the whole game, he knew his team didn't have a chance to win this one.

Like I said on twitter. I've never seen a team get called for charges when facing the opposite direction, and not moving in any direction. Wow. Astounding how pathetically and openly biased the pac12 are. Worse than the BcS.

Well, it's been so long since I left a game and said, "Boy that was a well called game", that I have kind of begun to lack faith that such a thing could ever happen. I've seen worse.



I'm still curious about the Brandon Davies foul where he was intentionally fouled with the guy draped around his neck attempting to pull him to the ground so he coudln't get a sure basket. They have a media timeout and then when they come back, even to the surprise of Greg Wrubell, there was not a shooting foul. Greg was flabbergasted as well. The only thing I could guess was that the ref was taking the stance that he fouled on the floor before the intentional part of the play? Which begs the question, "if you foul someone on the floor and then continue on with an intentional foul where you could have purposely hurt another player, do you just end with the beginning of the foul?" I don't know if that question makes sense, but watching such an intentional foul ignored was amazing as the ref was right there.
