5 questions about 2012

1. What position is O'Neil Chambers going to be playing? Has anyone heard how he is doing? I'm thinking his stock has to be up with teamates, coaches, and fans for sticking it out.



2. How does Doman develop a QB for 2013 with Nelson and Lark being seniors?



3. When is the WSU game scheduled for?



4. What does the D-line look like with a couple of our big guys graduating?



5. How has Ziggy Ansah worked out at the linebacker postion? I've been watching the games, but haven't paid much attention to him particularly.

I used to be the biggest critic of chambers, but how he has handled this has been impressive.



Ziggy has done nothing, he will not do anything, he just doesnt have football instincts. Still a good story though.

I think if your Doman you bring Hill up into the coachs booth with you just like they did with Max Hall. But prep Munns for a one year starting role in 2013. That way Hill can have one year in the booth and one year on the sidelines calling in the plays and learning from there.

Heres another question. Has anyone heard anything about Apo possibly leaving. There was that rumor on Monday he was leaving after the bowl game. It doesnt make sense to me why he would want to give up a year to do it with no redshirt avalible. Has anyone got any "insider info" they could share?

Apo's not going anywhere. IIRC, any transfer has to get paperwork and stuff in order by the end of this semester, so we'd know by now if he were.

Apo's not going anywhere. IIRC, any transfer has to get paperwork and stuff in order by the end of this semester, so we'd know by now if he were.

I hope your right. But with no redshirt left does it really matter when he gets his paper work in? He's going to have to sit a year no matter what so I dont think he will have to be in to big of a hurry.

I just hope he stays!

Apo not going anywhere. And from what I got from this source, the team was "ok" with the departure of Heaps.

Thats the kind of insider info I wanted to hear 1. Apos not leaving, 2. Positive locker room talk. Good enough for me.

Through a friend of someone close to the situation, I was told today that lots of people, players and coaches, were disappointed, but not devistated. I was told this week has been pretty upbeat, not that guys were excited, but a very good atmosphere considering the departure of heaps and some of the past locker room fodder.

I agree 1000%. I hope he has a great season next year. What he has been through must have been agonizing.

Semi-related question: What did Chambers do to lose a spot on the team at that time, and when was it again?



Didn't he have some kind of residence problem in 2009?

He was dismissed from the team mid-season iirc for "not keeping team rules."

Didn't Chambers also have problems with Heaps? I thought I had heard something of that nature. I think it will be better for everyone to move on from the Heaps situation. I have been extremely disappointed about his departure. To me, Heaps leaving makes no sense. But, with Apo staying and Chambers coming back, with Hoff and the team chemistry improving, we have a bright future. Just need to start grooming a new future QB.

Wasn't Fuga announced with the seniors against New Mexico State? Did he get a medical redshirt or are they assuming he will get one?

Fuga's listed as a junior on BYU's official football roster.



Fuga, Manumaleuna, and Richardson will all be back as seniors plus Ian Dulan off his redshirt/post-mission season. Rowley will be back as a junior.

Ahh the power of a mother's guidance.



One is supported in their decision to quit when the going gets a little bumpy and by some accounts even encouraged it.



The other encourages their son to finish what they started, deal with the consequences of their actions, get their college degree, and learn from the situation as the lessons will pay dividends in the future.
