The Age Card Again

Did the Weber State Coach really credit BYU's win partly on their age?

I don't think Winder, Abouo, Harrison, Cusik, Rogers or Zylstra (guys who may have guarded Damian) are any older than average even factoring their missions. In fact our team average age is probably younger than theirs and Winder who guarded him a lot is a Freshman. I'm not sure how our players' ages was really a factor in this game, but think its lame for the coach to mention it. He probably didn't mean to say it, but just let slip what had been an underlying sentiment.

Hartsock who killed them is older at 24 but you are right most of our players are younger.

Sure, but the guy guarding Hartsock, Mahoney? He is 25! Born 8/28/86.

They play the age card all they want as long as we can play the scoreboard card.

I understand his frustration. When you get beat by a guy like Noah who looks as old as the coaches, you feel like you just got beat by your school's librarian. He doesn't look like he should be tearing it up out there, but he does.
