Every week is a like playoff game. Except for when it's not.



Under the current system only certain teams are rewarded. All wins are not created equal. All loses are not created equal.



Sometimes in the BCS, what matters is who you beat. Other times it matters who beat you. Still other times, it doesn't matter if nobody beat you. Some teams can even lose multiple times and that doesn't matter. Some times it matters how closely you lost. Or if you didn't win by enough, that can factor in as well.



Sometimes your conference really matters and sometimes it doesn't. If you have a name team, or a name coach or beat a name team or a name coach, that can also really help or hurt your chances.



Nobody plays by the same rules because nobody really knows what all the rules are anyway. The rules don't apply to everyone or evenly.



These rules are so poor that the BCS won't even let the mathematicians use their best formulas. Several of the computer models aren't allowed to use their more accurate models and the computers keep their formula's secret. Some of those computers - for all we know - are simply one man's opinion with no math involved at all.

and sometimes when you win, you actually lose, and sometimes when you lose, you actually win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimels when you tie, you actually win or lose ;)

Pretty much.

You know LSU and Alabama may be the best two teams in the country. We'll never know. I feel Alabama had their shot and lost so someone else should get a shot. The crazy thing is many here in the south are saying even if LSU looses they will still be 1 - 1 with Alabama and their overall body of work should still make them national champs.

I was listening on the radio and they said that even if LSU lost, some of the computer rankings would still put them ahead of Alabama (Neutral Field vs. Home loss). You could end up with a split title--BCS champ and AP champ. What a mess that would be! Which why I hope it happens. That, and my son is a huge Bama fan. He likes BYU very much too, so I allow it. You have to pick your battles. ;)

Amen to that. If LSU wins, all that proves is that they're definitely better than 'bama. Are they better than Ok St?



I hope they lose only because I always root for whatever outcome will cause the most chaos in the BCS. How does a 1-1 series split solve anything?

Regular season means nothing to the BCS, only money and protecting their own.
