Bowl Opponent Poll - Now Who Do You Want?

C-USA is a bit muddled after So. Miss upset and blew out Houston.



So. Miss has 2 losses.

Houston had 1 loss only - to So. Miss.

Tulsa has 4 losses - all to Top 10 ranked teams at the time played, Okie, Okie State, Houston, and Boise State.

SMU - has 5 losses iirc, but beat TCU.



We just popped over 40 on Hawaii making it over 40 three consecutive games. We could easily have added a TD at the end instead of taking a knee inside the 5 yard line. If an early field goal had gone 6 inches over instead of hitting an upright - we go over 50. In other words, BYU is still improving.



So. Miss and Houston may be better than Texas, Utah, or TCU.

Tulsa is hard to measure. Losses very understandable. But no big wins. They are us in a sense.

SMU would have home field advantage. Rising up under June Jones. Beat TCU early.



We have a shot at 10 wins and being ranked - but only if we win. SMU, even at home may be the easiest path. Beating Houston or So. Miss would definitely get us ranked, but any loss bumps us down to Top 30-35 range.



If you pick SMU - be specific re which SMU. There are two of them. So. MISS U. and So. METH U.

I don't think we get So. Miss since they won the conference. Which leaves SMU, Houston, and Tulsa. I don't want SMU because they hold no prestige at this point and we'd be playing them at home. Beating Houston would be awesome and really validate this season, but would definitely be a tough task (they're gonna come out hungry to prove that they are still a very good team), so I'd probably want to play Tulsa, but I'd be a lot more excited to play Houston, so I dunno!

I voted for the best shot at 10 wins - So. METH U.

Changed my vote to Tulsa after Tulsa was announced. It was a coin toss for me anyway for the same reason as So. METH U - I like our chances better than Houston or So. Miss U.

It is Official - so 3 of us are happy. Tulsa has been predicted by many people, including me, for over a month now - so although others predicted SMU - no shocker here.
