Rivalry Games

Seeing Georgia play Georgia Tech, Florida play Florida State, South Carolina play Clemson all made me pretty upset. ALl three are solid in-state rivalry games with great traditions. All three have team in different conferences. In this case, all 3 are SEC-ACC match-ups, which makes them bigger games, and neither team is shying away from it claiming tough conference scheduling. They are also games that the schools do not shy away from playing on the last weekend on the season.



Tell me again BYU and Utah could not swing it? There is no good answer. Utah's loss to Colorado this weekend was from the bad karma they had over bailing on this game over Thanksgiving weekend. They got what they deserved.

The short answer to why it had to end was because Utah chose for it to end, they did not even ask for it to continue, I recall them admiting as much

I forgot about hat great rivalry of Stanford-Notre Dame. Indy Notre Dame against PAC-12 Stanford. Yeah, goes back to 1925, except they have really played only about 26 times now. Epic for sure. NOT.



Compare to 1896 nd 92 games between BYU and Utah. Utah bailed on that, and had that loss coming. Everything broke for them just as they needed it, except they lost at home to a team that had not won a road game in 4 seasons.



Yep, karma.

I really don't have any respect for the University. I respect some fans in my neighborhood, but that's because they're good people. Some peers (definitely NOT friends) at school are...mean. They're the guys you wouldn't want to be with. They rub it in your face, gloat about it for the next week and a half, etc.



I would LOVE to start playing the Utes again on Rivalry Week, just to pound the freaking snot out of them time and time again. If Bronco could coach them to play well, and we could fix our problems and pound out our dents, we could pose a serious problem to the Utes. Like, 35-17. 42-10. 31-14. 28-7 big wins.
